MUMBAI, India, Jan. 8 -- Intellectual Property India has published a patent application (202511105682 A) filed by Sooryauday Aerial Vehicles Pvt. Ltd., New Delhi, on Oct. 31, 2025, for 'threat engagement system for collaborative combat.'

Inventor(s) include Rohan More.

The application for the patent was published on Dec. 12, under issue no. 50/2025.

According to the abstract released by the Intellectual Property India: "A threat engagement system for collaborative combat, comprising a plurality of unmanned aerial vehicles (UAVs) 101 forming a swarm, each provided with an edge processing node and a sensor suite 102 enabling detection of one or more threats and mission targets through RADAR and EO/IR units configured for SIGINT. Each UAV 101 includes a multi-band communication module supporting mesh connectivity across RF, optical, and IR layers using MAVLink protocol with FHSS and jittered message repetition for anti-jamming. A consensus engine configured with the processing node executes voting to select optimal UAV 101 assignments via a quorum, recorded in a hash-linked decision log. The system includes a feature extraction module, a scoring module, a cost module, and a leader assignment module, ensuring secure, fault-tolerant, and real-time coordination of the UAV 101 swarm for dynamic, distributed threat engagement and mission execution."
