MUMBAI, India, Oct. 11 -- Intellectual Property India has published a patent application (202411020106 A) filed by Chandigarh University; and Chandigarh University Technology Business Incubator, Mohali, Punjab, on March 18, 2024, for 'thread storage device.'
Inventor(s) include Aditya Sood.
The application for the patent was published on Oct. 10, under issue no. 41/2025.
According to the abstract released by the Intellectual Property India: "A thread storage device comprises of a cylindrical body 1 having a first and second end arranged with circular discs 2 and installed with multiple circular expandable rings that segregates the body 1 into multiple sections, a plate 3 arranged with the discs 2 via a pair of L-shaped links and configured with a cylindrical hollow member to wrapped on the roller is inserted though the member by a user, a microphone arranged on the plate 3 for enabling the user to give voice commands for wrapping the thread on the body 1, an artificial intelligence-based imaging unit 4 arranged on the plate 3 for detecting amount of the thread to be wrapped, a telescopically operated gripper 5 arranged on the plate 3 for tying the free-end of the thread with the section."
