MUMBAI, India, July 5 -- Intellectual Property India has published a patent application (202517055486 A) filed by Vernet, Ollainville, France, on June 9, for 'thermostatic assembly, in particular a thermostatic cartridge.'
Inventor(s) include Lam, Evelyne, Ming-Ying; and Millet, Gael, Serge.
The application for the patent was published on July 4, under issue no. 27/2025.
According to the abstract released by the Intellectual Property India: "The invention relates to a thermostatic assembly (1) which comprises a casing (10) in which a mixing chamber (11), a hot fluid inlet (14), a cold fluid inlet (15) and a mixed fluid outlet (16) are defined. In the chamber, a slide (20) for adjusting the temperature of the mixed fluid is movable along an axis (X-X) of the chamber so as to close, in respective inverse proportions, a hot fluid passage and a cold fluid passage. A thermostatic element (30) comprises a body (31), arranged in the chamber so as to be in contact with the mixed fluid and to be movably connected to the slide, and a piston (32), connected to the casing by being centred on the axis. The piston is received in the body so that it can be moved by a thermally expandable material (33) of the body, by being mounted axially so as to slide in a guide (34) of the body, from which guide the piston emerges outside the body. A sealing sleeve (37), coaxially fitted around the guide and the piston so as to seal the sliding assembly thereof, includes a first portion, fixedly connected to the guide along the axis, and a second portion applied against the piston all around the axis in sliding contact along the axis."
The patent application was internationally filed on Dec. 14, 2023, under International application No.PCT/EP2023/085855.
