MUMBAI, India, July 25 -- Intellectual Property India has published a patent application (202411004753 A) filed by Chandigarh University; and Chandigarh University Technology Business Incubator, Mohali, Punjab, on Jan. 23, 2024, for 'therapy-based resting assistive device.'

Inventor(s) include Himanshu.

The application for the patent was published on July 25, under issue no. 30/2025.

According to the abstract released by the Intellectual Property India: "A therapy-based resting assistive device for travelling, comprising a curved-shaped extendable body 1 positioned in contact with head rest of a seat of a vehicle, a push- button 2 pressed by user for activating device, a camera 3 detects dimensions of head rest and accordingly body 1 extends, two motorized hinges 5 tilts two plates 4 in a manner to grip body 1 with head rest to allow user to take rest, a curved-shaped member 6 configured with body 1 via a pair of electromagnetic springs 7, two motorized pivot joints 9 configured between springs 7 and body 1 for deploying member 6 in front of face and followed by activation of springs 7 to compress for covering user's eyes, two circular hollow units 10 filled with water and embedded with a heating unit which produces steam, and two iris pores 12 opens for releasing steam on user's eye."
