MUMBAI, India, July 11 -- Intellectual Property India has published a patent application (202511060363 A) filed by Shree Guru Gobind Singh Tricentenary University, Gurugram, Haryana, on June 24, for 'therapeutic emesis assisting system.'
Inventor(s) include Dr. Konica Gera.
The application for the patent was published on July 11, under issue no. 28/2025.
According to the abstract released by the Intellectual Property India: "A therapeutic emesis assisting system, comprising a vertically oriented hollow rectangular frame 101 adapted with a basin, a cleaning module 102 including a rectangular slider 102a to slide a wiper 102c to clean basin, an (AI)-enabled camera 103 recognize user when user approaches frame 101, a user support module 104 including a pair of vertical sliders 104a and a telescopic pneumatic plate 104b attached between sliders 104a support user chest during vomit, a compartment 106 containing essential ingredients to induce vomiting, a buffer chamber 107 attached to side of compartment 106 to mix ingredients, a glass/ tumbler 109 attached to buffer chamber 107 to dispense mixed ingredients, a horizontally expandable rod 111 integrated with a solenoid actuator 112 to provide user with back tapping during vomiting to provide relaxation, a roller 115 mounted on a pair of horizontal expandable bars 116 to massage the abdominal area when user is vomiting."
