MUMBAI, India, May 29 -- Intellectual Property India has published a patent application (202641062353 A) filed by Maris Stella College, Vijayawada, Andhra Pradesh, on May 16, for 'the imperial capillora elite - a multi-herbal hair dye powder for pigmentation, follicular nourishment and scalp protection.'

Unlike conventional chemical hair dyes that rely on harsh ingredients such as ammonia, hydrogen peroxide, and para-phenylenediamine, which often damage hair structure and irritate the scalp, or existing herbal formulations that primarily depend on henna with limited additional benefits, this invention introduces a synergistic blend incorporating innovative pigment-supporting agents like onion peel and banana flower. These components, combined with Bhringaraj, Henna, Hibiscus, Curry leaves, Fenugreek, Turmeric, and Aloe vera, work together through natural pigment binding, antioxidant activity, and scalp stimulation mechanisms to deliver safe, long-lasting coloration along with improved hair health. The formulation is prepared as a fine powder under controlled low-temperature dehydration and sterile conditions to preserve bioactive compounds, resulting in enhanced shelf stability and efficacy. This eco-friendly composition serves multiple applications including natural hair dyeing, therapeutic hair masks, scalp treatments, and preventive hair care, offering superior texture improvement, reduced hair fall, and natural shine while maintaining novelty through the specific integration of onion peel and banana flower for melanin support and flavonoid-enhanced pigmentation."
