MUMBAI, India, June 27 -- Intellectual Property India has published a patent application (201921028976 A) filed by Janardan Dattuappa Bondre; Archana J. Bondre; and Ajinkya Ravindra Kottawar, Chikhli, Maharashtra, on July 18, 2019, for 'the bulletproof elevator system for armed force.'

Inventor(s) include Janardan Dattuappa Bondre; Archana J. Bondre; and Ajinkya Ravindra Kottawar.

The application for the patent was published on June 27, under issue no. 26/2025.

According to the abstract released by the Intellectual Property India: "The progress of the country can be measured from the development of its security and technology. The security of country conceives as the protection against threatens from landside, waterside and airside. The army is the original and oldest form of the arm services and it is responsible for the all kind of land military operations. This mechanism is used to provide assistance to the soldiers for border surveillance or secured area. This system combines functionalities of watch tower and moving Elevator system. The system consists of simple mechanical structure of vertically placed wheels connected by the endless double chained strong steel cables. The steel cable is connected to the set of containers made up of light weight, transparent, bulletproof material. The size of container should be enough to occupy soldier in it. As wheels rotate, double chained steel cable moves vertically which moves containers vertically up and down and ultimately forms endless chain of the rotation of containers. In case of emergency condition or cross firing this system provides protection against bullets from enemy and helps soldiers to shoot from bulletproof containers and missed the bullets from other side of the firing."
