MUMBAI, India, May 30 -- Intellectual Property India has published a patent application (202341080640 A) filed by Engine Factory Avadi, Chennai, Tamil Nadu, on Nov. 28, 2023, for 'test rig for testing of air intake pre-heating system of high power diesel engine.'
Inventor(s) include M. Veeramani; R. Mohmd Hussain; and A. Murugan.
The application for the patent was published on May 30, under issue no. 22/2025.
According to the abstract released by the Intellectual Property India: "The present invention discloses the design and development of the test Rig to test the Air intake pre-heating system. The acceptance test of newly assembled Air intake pre-heating system is carried out for checking the conformity of basic parameters of Air intake pre-heating system to the requirements of this program, for detection and elimination of manufacture and assembly defects. The main aim of the invention is to start the engine in which the atmosphere conditions are +50 to - 50 c, without preliminary warm-up the engine."
