MUMBAI, India, March 14 -- Intellectual Property India has published a patent application (202647025004 A) filed by Nokia Technologies Oy, Espoo, Finland, on March 3, for 'test of network device.'

Inventor(s) include Ng, Man Hung; Golebiowski, Bartlomiej; and Du, Lei.

The application for the patent was published on March 13, under issue no. 11/2026.

According to the abstract released by the Intellectual Property India: "Example embodiments of the present disclosure relate to an apparatus, a method, and a computer readable storage medium for testing a network device. In an aspect, the apparatus receives a signal from a network device under test. The apparatus determines a time duration associated with at least one power level of the signal. The apparatus determines a result of the test based on a comparison between the time duration and a duration threshold. By the proposed processing of the signal, the apparatus can determine a time duration associated with at least one power level of the network device, and accordingly verify the energy saving feature of the network device by using this time duration."

The patent application was internationally filed on Aug. 10, 2023, under International application No.PCT/CN2023/112272.
