MUMBAI, India, Sept. 5 -- Intellectual Property India has published a patent application (202047052926 A) filed by Boe Technology Group Co. Ltd.; and Chengdu Boe Optoelectronics Technology Co. Ltd., Beijing, on Dec. 4, 2020, for 'terminal device.'
Inventor(s) include Li, Fan; Liu, Lianbin; Meng, Huan; and Wang, Mingfang.
The application for the patent was published on Sept. 5, under issue no. 36/2025.
According to the abstract released by the Intellectual Property India: "Provided is a terminal device. The terminal device comprises: a rear housing and a photosensitive element located on the rear housing; a light-transmitting cover plate having an edge window region coated with ink, wherein the edge window region comprises a light-transmitting ink region; and a display panel having a light-transmitting edge region, wherein at least part of the light-transmitting edge region is located between the light-transmitting ink region and the photosensitive element, and both of the light-transmitting edge region and the light-transmitting ink region are regions through which light can pass. Since at least part of the light-transmitting edge region is located between the light-transmitting ink region of the light-transmitting cover plate and the photosensitive element, the display panel can partially overlaps with the photosensitive element. Thus, the distance between the display panel and a device frame can be reduced, thereby reducing the frame width of the terminal device on a screen side, and facilitating a narrow frame design."
