MUMBAI, India, Oct. 11 -- Intellectual Property India has published a patent application (202517090939 A) filed by Nec Corporation, Tokyo, on Sept. 23, for 'terminal, system, method for controlling terminal, and storage medium.'

Inventor(s) include Otani Takumi; Sasamoto Takeshi; and Kurose Haruka.

The application for the patent was published on Oct. 10, under issue no. 41/2025.

According to the abstract released by the Intellectual Property India: "Provided is a terminal that easily realizes system registration of information required for providing a service using biometric authentication. This terminal comprises an acquisition means and a transmission means. The acquisition means acquires, from an application installed in a user's device, business information required for the user to receive provision of a service using biometric authentication. The transmission means transmits, to a server device, a token registration request including the acquired business information and the biometric information of the user."
