MUMBAI, India, Jan. 9 -- Intellectual Property India has published a patent application (202541134129 A) filed by Nitte, Mangaluru, Karnataka, on Dec. 31, 2025, for 'tensegrity-based rapid deployment apparatus for rescue missions.'

Inventor(s) include Mr. Thushar S Shetty; and Dr. Bhojaraja B E.

The application for the patent was published on Jan. 9, under issue no. 02/2026.

According to the abstract released by the Intellectual Property India: "Disclosed herein is tensegrity-based rapid deployment apparatus (100) for rescue missions, the apparatus (100) comprising a plurality of anchoring base plates (102), a plurality of anchoring elements (104) coupled to the anchoring base plates (102), a plurality of connectors (106) clipped on to the anchoring base plates (102) adapted to enable rapid assembly and permit multi-axis alignment to establish optimal tensegrity geometry, a plurality of compression struts (108) inserted in to the plurality of connectors (106) adapted to sustain axial compressive load within a tensegrity framework, a plurality of tension elements (110) connected to the plurality of connectors (106), a plurality of self-locking tensioners (112) connected to the plurality of tension elements (110) and the plurality of connectors (106), an outer membrane (114) and a plurality of membrane clamping elements (116)."
