MUMBAI, India, Feb. 6 -- Intellectual Property India has published a patent application (202541123393 A) filed by Kalasalingam Academy Of Research And Education, Virudhunagar, Tamil Nadu, on Dec. 8, 2025, for 'temporary staircase retractable flyover for transfering wheel chair.'

A wall-mounted traversing deck (10) allows horizontal movement once the loading deck (1) reaches staircase level. The wheelchair traversing deck (10) is supported by adjustable telescopic legs for proper alignment with varying stair dimensions. The foldable structure and remote-controlled operation further enhance convenience, safety, and space efficiency. This system provides an effective accessibility solution for transporting wheelchair users between different staircase levels."
