MUMBAI, India, Aug. 1 -- Intellectual Property India has published a patent application (202411006199 A) filed by Chandigarh Group Of Colleges, Mohali, Punjab, on Jan. 30, 2024, for 'temperature resistant utensil holding device.'

Inventor(s) include Dr. Satish Kumar; Dr. Harvinder Singh; Ruby Sharma; Ranbir Kalia; and Nikhil.

According to the abstract released by the Intellectual Property India: "A temperature resistant utensil holding device, comprising a V-shaped frame 1 interconnected with a piston 8 accessed by a user, a pair of elongated members 2 crafted with heat insulated material for allowing user to hold frame 1, an artificial intelligence-based imaging unit 3 determining dimension of utensil for actuating a pair of telescopically operated U-shaped rods 4 for positioning plate 5 for accommodating utensil, a pair of hinge joints 6 for providing an angular movement to plates 5, a speaker 9 to notify user for applying a gripping force to frame 1, a capacitive force sensor detecting gripping force of user for actuating speaker 9 for alerting user to tightly grip frame 1 to avoid any fall of utensil."
