MUMBAI, India, Nov. 28 -- Intellectual Property India has published a patent application (202411026004 A) filed by Chandigarh University; and Chandigarh University Technology Business Incubator, Mohali, Punjab, on March 29, 2024, for 'temperature maintenance device for beverage.'

The application for the patent was published on Nov. 28, under issue no. 48/2025.
According to the abstract released by the Intellectual Property India: "A temperature maintenance device for beverage comprises of a circular platform 1 positioned on a mouth portion of a beverage container stored with beverage to be consumed by a user, a laser acuity sensor arranged on the platform 1 for detecting diameter of the mouth portion, an expandable pulley arrangement 8 installed within the body to increase diameter of the body to secure the body with the container, an artificial intelligence-based imaging unit 5 installed on the body for detecting level of the beverage and a U-shaped extendable member 2 installed with the body to be positioned within the beverage by extending, a Peltier unit installed with the member 2 for maintaining an optimum temperature of the beverage, and a temperature sensor installed with the member 2 for detecting temperature of the beverage."
