MUMBAI, India, April 10 -- Intellectual Property India has published a patent application (202441076740 A) filed by JAIN, Bangalore, Karnataka, on Oct. 9, 2024, for 'teeth flossing assistive device.'

According to the abstract released by the Intellectual Property India: "A teeth flossing assistive device, comprising an elongated body 1 having proximal and distal end, a handle crafted on the proximal end gripped by a user to position a C-shaped member 2 configured with the distal end over teeth of the user for flossing the teeth as per requirement, a motorized roller 3 installed with one end of the member 2 and wrapped with a dental floss 4, a gripper 7 installed over other end of the member 2 to maintain a pre-set tension in the floss 4, an imaging unit 5 installed over the body 1 to determine location of the plaque a speaker 6 installed over the body 1 to produce a voice command to guide the user regrading positioning of the floss 4 in order to initiate removal of the plaque."
