MUMBAI, India, Aug. 1 -- Intellectual Property India has published a patent application (202411006201 A) filed by Chandigarh Group Of Colleges, Mohali, Punjab, on Jan. 30, 2024, for 'teeth carving device for comb.'
Inventor(s) include Dr. Meena Devi; Dr. Shalini Verma; Ashima Pandey; and Deenu.
The application for the patent was published on Aug. 1, under issue no. 31/2025.
According to the abstract released by the Intellectual Property India: "A teeth carving device for comb, comprising a platform 1 placed with a base frame of a comb, a touch enabled screen 2 enabling a user to give input commands for carving teeth of base frame, an ultrasonic sensor detecting width of base frame for actuating a pair of telescopically operated links 3 to extend/retract for gripping base frame by means of a motorized clamp 4, a camera 5 for detecting dimensions of base frame, a motorized blade 6 for carving teeth on base frame, a motorized slider 9 for translating hinge 8 in synchronization with actuation of hinge 8 along the required length of base frame in order to carve determined number of teeth at determined distance, a robotic arm 10 quipped with a plate 11 fabricated with a sand paper for scrubbing teeth in view of eliminating sharpness from teeth."
