MUMBAI, India, Sept. 26 -- Intellectual Property India has published a patent application (202547077205 A) filed by Jiangsu Kangrui New Material Technology Co. Ltd.; and Kangrui New Materials Technology (NANTONG) Co. Ltd., Jiangyin, China, on Aug. 13, for 'technology for processing mobile phone middle frame made of titanium-aluminum composite material.'

Inventor(s) include Zhu, Wei; Wang, Zhengwei; Li, Pengfei; Liu, Laiyuan; and Liu, Rong.

The application for the patent was published on Sept. 26, under issue no. 39/2025.

According to the abstract released by the Intellectual Property India: "A technology for processing a mobile phone middle frame made of a titanium-aluminum composite material, comprising using a titanium-aluminum composite strip (1) formed by connecting titanium and aluminum two-layer composite materials as a frame (2) of a mobile phone middle frame, and using an aluminum plate (3) as an inner side plate connected into the frame (2) of the mobile phone middle frame, wherein a titanium layer (4) in the titanium-aluminum composite strip (1) is located on the outer side of the frame (2) of the mobile phone middle frame, and an aluminum layer (5) in the titanium-aluminum composite strip (1) is located on the inner side of the frame (2) of the mobile phone middle frame; and the frame (2) of the mobile phone middle frame is connected to the inner side plate of the mobile phone middle frame by means of friction stir welding."

The patent application was internationally filed on Mar. 04, 2025, under International application No.PCT/CN2025/080473.
