MUMBAI, India, July 25 -- Intellectual Property India has published a patent application (202517061589 A) filed by Qualcomm Incorporated, San Diego, on June 27, for 'techniques for transmitting a skipping indication for configured grants.'

Inventor(s) include He, Linhai; Maamari, Diana; and Xu, Huilin.

The application for the patent was published on July 25, under issue no. 30/2025.

According to the abstract released by the Intellectual Property India: "Methods, systems, and devices for wireless communications are described. Some wireless communications systems may support transmission of a skipping indication signaling that a wireless device, such as a user equipment (UE), is to skip uplink transmitting via a resource occasion associated with a configured grant. For example, the UE may receive a first control signal indicating a configured grant (CG) associated with multiple first resource occasions of an uplink shared channel. Additionally, the UE may receive a second control message indicating one or more second resource occasions of an uplink control channel associated with transmitting a skipping indication for the CG. As such, the UE may transmit, via the one or more second resource occasions, the skipping indication for the CG. The skipping indication may signal that the UE is to skip uplink transmitting via at least a portion of the multiple first resource occasions."

The patent application was internationally filed on Jan. 16, 2024, under International application No.PCT/US2024/011685.
