MUMBAI, India, March 14 -- Intellectual Property India has published a patent application (202647025146 A) filed by Qualcomm Incorporated, San Diego, on March 3, for 'techniques for reporting channel state information (csi) with periodic transmission-reception point (trp) synchronization.'
Inventor(s) include Liu, Kangqi; Dai, Jing; and Wu, Liangming.
The application for the patent was published on March 13, under issue no. 11/2026.
According to the abstract released by the Intellectual Property India: "Methods, systems, and devices for wireless communications are described. Generally, the techniques described herein may enable a user equipment (UE) to identify when a transmission-reception point (TRP) synchronization occasion, or synchronization occasion, overlaps with a channel state information (CSI) window and, in such cases, shorten the CSI window based on the TRP synchronization occasion. For example, a UE may establish wireless communications with multiple TRPs, including a first TRP and a second TRP. Additionally, the UE may receive a control message indicating multiple synchronization occasions, where each synchronization occasion corresponds to synchronized timing between the first TRP and the second TRP. As such, the UE may identify if at least one synchronization occasion overlaps with an upcoming CSI window configured for the UE and, if so, may shorten a duration of the CSI window based on the synchronization occasion, such that the shortened CSI window ends before the synchronization occasion."
The patent application was internationally filed on Nov. 03, 2023, under International application No.PCT/CN2023/129536.
