MUMBAI, India, May 29 -- Intellectual Property India has published a patent application (202421087152 A) filed by Anjani Closures Private Limited, Ahmedabad, Gujarat, on March 12, 2025, for 'tear ring seal assembly having side-wall mounted pull handle on flex spout.'

According to the abstract released by the Intellectual Property India: "A tear ring seal assembly (100) includes a top seal positioned over a container opening, having an oval shape with a raised central portion. A pull handle (104) is attached to the top seal via a rivet (106), including a curved gripping portion for finger insertion. A peripheral crimping ring extends around the top seal perimeter and secures it to the container rim. A side-wall mounted tear ring is positioned along a horizontal side of the top seal beneath the crimping ring, including horizontal side slitting (102) formed on the horizontal side. The slits are uniformly spaced and formed to a controlled depth to create controlled tear-initiation zones. A flex spout is positioned beneath the top seal and configured for bidirectional axial displacement relative to the container opening."
