MUMBAI, India, Oct. 11 -- Intellectual Property India has published a patent application (202517063238 A) filed by Ekaterra Research And Development Uk Limited, Bedfordshire, U.K., on July 2, for 'tea agriculture systems.'

According to the abstract released by the Intellectual Property India: "A computer-implemented system for managing tea harvesting, comprising: a data store, the data store containing data defining of one or more growing regions of a tea plantation; a growth and yield prediction module which is configured, for each of the growing regions of the tea plantation defined in the data store, to model a plurality of tea plants within the respective growing region, and thereby predicting: a growth of each tea plant within the respective growing region over a period of time and so a yield of each growing region of the tea plantation when harvested; wherein the growth and yield prediction module is further configured to predict a recommended time for harvest to provide a desired quality of tea and desired yield of tea; and a user interface module, configured to provide, to a user, the predicted yield of each growing region of the tea plantation when harvested."
