MUMBAI, India, March 14 -- Intellectual Property India has published a patent application (202617014696 A) filed by Hanwha Solutions Corporation, Seoul, Republic of Korea, on Feb. 10, for 'tandem solar cell.'
Inventor(s) include Lee, Sun Hwa; and Lee, Hyeong Eun.
The application for the patent was published on March 13, under issue no. 11/2026.
According to the abstract released by the Intellectual Property India: "An embodiment of the present invention discloses a tandem solar cell comprising: a first photoelectric conversion unit; a second photoelectric conversion unit above the first photoelectric conversion unit; and an intermediate layer positioned between the first photoelectric conversion unit and the second photoelectric conversion unit and electrically connecting the first photoelectric conversion unit to the second photoelectric conversion unit, wherein the first photoelectric conversion unit includes: a first photoelectric conversion layer; a first doping layer positioned between the first photoelectric conversion layer and the intermediate layer on a first surface of the first photoelectric conversion layer, and the surface roughness of the second surface is greater than the surface roughness of the first surface."
The patent application was internationally filed on Sept. 02, 2024, under International application No.PCT/KR2024/013128.
