A user equipment (UE) may receive, from a network, configuration information comprising an indication for the UE to use HARQ enablement information of a downlink control information (DCI), receive the DCI comprising the HARQ enablement information, and use the HARQ enablement information of the DCI to determine one or more HARQ enablement statuses for corresponding one or more HARQ processes for communicating HARQ acknowledgement (HARQ-ACK) information from the UE to the network or for one or more TBs using such HARQ processes. A network device may send configuration information to the UE comprising an indication for the UE to use HARQ enablement information of a DCI and send the UE the DCI comprising the HARQ enablement information. Applicable contexts for methods disclosed herein may include, for example, Internet of Things (IoT) and/or non-terrestrial network (NTN) contexts."
