The application for the patent was published on April 17, under issue no. 16/2026.

According to the abstract released by the Intellectual Property India: "The present invention relates, in general, to systems and methods for generating hydrogen from ammonia on-board vehicles, where the produced hydrogen is used as fuel source for an internal combustion engine along with ammonia. The present invention utilizes ammonia not only as a co-fuel for the engine, but also as a heat-exchange medium used by a cooling system for the internal combustion engine, such that the heat is transferred from hot engine coolant to the ammonia, thereby cooling the engine coolant, and also pre-heating the ammonia."
