MUMBAI, India, Aug. 8 -- Intellectual Property India has published a patent application (202517042338 A) filed by Raydiant Oximetry, Inc., San Ramon, U.S.A., on May 1, for 'systems, devices, and methods for performing transabdominal fetal oximetry and/or transabdominal fetal pulse oximetry using two types of optical measurements modalities.'

The application for the patent was published on Aug. 8, under issue no. 32/2025.

According to the abstract released by the Intellectual Property India: "Fetal oximetry information may be determined using a plurality of different types of measurement systems and/or calculation techniques. In some instances, a first measurement system may be used to interrogate maternal abdominal tissue to determine one or more characteristics thereof. Then, a second measurement system may be used to interrogate the pregnant mammal's abdominal tissue as well as fetal tissue and the characteristics of the maternal tissue determined using measurements of the first system may be used to process the measurements obtained using the second system to, for example, increase the accuracy of the processing of the measurements from the second system."

The patent application was internationally filed on Oct. 11, 2023, under International application No.PCT/US2023/034941.
