MUMBAI, India, Jan. 23 -- Intellectual Property India has published a patent application (202541115057 A) filed by S. Saravanan; V. Lav Anya Devi; R. K. V. Mathavan; S Sankar; and N Athish, Cuddalore, Tamil Nadu, on Nov. 21, 2025, for 'system of manufacturing eco bricks and its method thereof.'

According to the abstract released by the Intellectual Property India: "The present invention is a system and a method of manufacturing an eco bricks. (100, 200). The method comprise of shredding the plurality of plastic wastes (201), crushing the plurality of construction and demolition wastes (202), melting the shredded plastic wastes (203) in the melting unit (104), sieving the crushed construction and demolition wastes (204) in the sieving unit (105), binding the 10 melted plastic wastes with fire retardant (205) in the binding unit (106), mixing the sieved construction and demolition wastes with the binded plastic wastes (206) in the mixing unit (107) with a predefined ratio, finally molded in a molding unit(108) to a required size and shape (207). The plastic wastes and construction and demolition wastes are mixed in the ratio of 1:2, 1:3 and 1:4. The final eco bricks 15 (110) are of size length 190 mm, width 90 mm and height of 90 mm."
