MUMBAI, India, Jan. 8 -- Intellectual Property India has published a patent application (202511105139 A) filed by Manav Rachna University, Faridabad, Haryana, on Oct. 31, 2025, for 'system for vehicle safety enhancement.'

According to the abstract released by the Intellectual Property India: "The present disclosure provides a system for vehicle safety enhancement comprising a sensing unit arranged to monitor operating conditions of a driver and a vehicle, the sensing unit including an alcohol detection element arranged to capture breath-alcohol content of the driver, a vibration and tilt detection element arranged to detect orientation changes of the vehicle, and an accelerometer-based impact detection element arranged to detect abrupt shocks or collisions of the vehicle. The system further comprises an ignition control unit arranged to deactivate engine ignition when the alcohol detection signals exceed a predetermined threshold, a positioning unit arranged to acquire geographic coordinates of the vehicle, a wireless communication unit arranged to transmit accident event data and geographic coordinates to a remote response center or pre-registered emergency contact, a microcontroller arranged to validate accident conditions and control associated units, and a driver alert interface arranged to provide warning signals."
