MUMBAI, India, Dec. 13 -- Intellectual Property India has published a patent application (202511102287 A) filed by Lovely Professional University, Phagwara, Punjab, on Oct. 24, for 'system for tree enumeration using high-resolution satellite imagery.'

According to the abstract released by the Intellectual Property India: "A system for tree enumeration using high-resolution satellite imagery, comprising an image acquisition module 101 configured to obtain high-resolution satellite images of forested and urban environments, a deep learning-based detection module 102 employing transfer learning to identify and count individual trees within the acquired imagery, an optimization unit 103 configured to enhance recognition accuracy and computational efficiency through Briefly Optimized Recognition (BRO) means, an output interface configured to provide tree count data with improved accuracy and reduced execution time for environmental monitoring and resource management applications."
