MUMBAI, India, Jan. 8 -- Intellectual Property India has published a patent application (202511102480 A) filed by Lovely Professional University, Phagwara, Punjab, on Oct. 24, 2025, for 'system for securing healthcare information exchange (hie) between healthcare facilities.'

According to the abstract released by the Intellectual Property India: "A system for securing healthcare information exchange (HIE) between healthcare facilities comprising a primary blockchain for ordinary patient data and an off-chain blockchain for sensitive data, interconnected via a linking mechanism 104 that generates signed, hashed blocks to ensure data integrity and resist unauthorized attacks, a generative adversarial network 105 (GAN) enhances security by producing synthetic health data for training and detecting risky transactions through a discriminator, a transaction analyzer 102, coupled with both blockchain and the GAN 103, monitors and filters untrusted transactions in real-time, leveraging the discriminator's outputs to enhance HIE security."
