MUMBAI, India, Jan. 9 -- Intellectual Property India has published a patent application (202511117916 A) filed by Ajay Kumar Garg Engineering College, Ghaziabad, Uttar Pradesh, on Nov. 27, 2025, for 'system for real-time optimization of coal-based thermal power plant operations.'
Inventor(s) include Ananya Jain; Anmol Goyal; Divyansh Kaushik; Harsh Gupta; and Dr. Anuradha Taluja.
The application for the patent was published on Jan. 9, under issue no. 02/2026.
According to the abstract released by the Intellectual Property India: "The present disclosure provides a system for real-time optimization of coal-based thermal power plant operations. The system includes a data acquisition and monitoring panel comprising a sensing unit and an emission-monitoring unit. The sensing unit comprises a plurality of sensors configured to detect operating parameters such as temperature, pressure, flow rate, and vibration. The emission-monitoring unit comprises stack probes, gas analyzers, sampling pumps, and calibration manifolds configured to determine combustion gas concentrations. A remote server communicatively coupled with the data acquisition and monitoring panel receives process and emission data, performs predictive analysis and prescriptive optimization to determine optimized control setpoints, and transmits the optimized control setpoints to a distributed control system of the thermal power plant. A visualization display coupled with the remote server displays operational indicators and compliance analytics related to energy efficiency and emission performance."
