MUMBAI, India, Jan. 8 -- Intellectual Property India has published a patent application (202511102921 A) filed by Lovely Professional University, Phagwara, Punjab, on Oct. 25, 2025, for 'system for predicting early pregnancy loss in a first-trimester pregnancy.'

According to the abstract released by the Intellectual Property India: "A system for predicting early pregnancy loss in a first-trimester pregnancy comprises of n input module 101 configured to receive an ultrasound video of an embryo between 6 and 10 weeks gestation, a deep neural network 102 configured to extract biometric parameters including gestational sac area, yolk sac diameter, crown-rump length, and fetal heart rate, an ensemble learning module 103 configured to analyze these parameters and generate a probability score for early pregnancy loss, an output interface 104 configured to present the score as a decision support indicator, a validation module using Bland-Altman analysis to ensure accuracy, an evaluation module computing precision, Dice coefficient, and IoU, and a clinical decision-support platform providing real-time measurements to assist physicians."
