MUMBAI, India, Nov. 21 -- Intellectual Property India has published a patent application (202441038111 A) filed by LMW Limited, Coimbatore, Tamil Nadu, on May 15, 2024, for 'system for monitoring drafting units of textile spinning machine.'
Inventor(s) include Rajan Satheeshkumar.
The application for the patent was published on Nov. 21, under issue no. 47/2025.
According to the abstract released by the Intellectual Property India: "The present invention discloses a system (500) for monitoring a plurality of drafting units (100) of a textile spinning machine (1) comprising a hose, a monitoring unit and a control system. The hose (L1,L2,L3,L4,R1,R2,R3,R4) is configured to receive an inert fluid for maintaining a desired contact pressure between top rollers (9) and bottom rollers (10). The monitoring unit (31,32,33,34,35,36,37,38) is mounted on each of the hoses including a sensor (13), an identification tag to store location of each sensor and a microcontroller. The sensor continuously senses pressure of the fluid, and generate a signal on a real time basis. The monitoring unit detects faulty hoses based on the sensed signal in comparison with predefined limits. The control system is in electronic communication with each monitoring unit to identity and locate the faulty hose and cease operation of the top arm assembly (11) corresponding to the faulty hose."
