MUMBAI, India, May 1 -- Intellectual Property India has published a patent application (202541017668 A) filed by Ayurpragna Healthcare Private Limited, Bangalore, Karnataka, on Feb. 27, 2025, for 'system for measuring pulse at specific wrist locations across multiple pressure levels in a subject.'

Inventor(s) include Gurushankar A R; and Deepashree S N.

The application for the patent was published on May 1, under issue no. 18/2026.

According to the abstract released by the Intellectual Property India: "A system (100) for pulse measurement at multiple wrist locations across various applied pressure levels is disclosed. The system (100) comprises a pulse measuring device (101) including a plurality of independently movable sensing elements (110A-C) positioned corresponding to predefined pulse locations on a wrist of a subject. Each sensing element (110A-C) is actuated by a respective motor (108A-C) through a rotational-to-linear converter (112A-C) and a sensing element mover (114A-C) to provide controlled linear displacement and calibrated pressure application. A control unit (116) comprising a processor (120) initializes and calibrates the sensing elements (110A-C), aligns them along a radial artery, and establishes a zero-pressure reference position. The control unit (116) automatically determines superficial and deep pressure levels and defines multiple measurement levels therebetween. Pulse wave data is acquired in time-series format, selectively and simultaneously, and is stored and output for subsequent interpretation."
