MUMBAI, India, Jan. 8 -- Intellectual Property India has published a patent application (202511105144 A) filed by Manav Rachna University, Faridabad, Haryana, on Oct. 31, 2025, for 'system for managing environmental compliance of an urban area under environmental law.'

According to the abstract released by the Intellectual Property India: "The present disclosure provides a system for managing environmental compliance of an urban area under environmental law. The system comprises a sensing unit including at least one environmental sensor configured to capture air quality, water quality, or waste management parameters, a satellite data reception interface arranged to obtain remotely sensed imagery of the urban area, a municipal reporting interface structured to acquire compliance records, inspection data, and official reports from municipal authorities, and a citizen complaint acquisition interface arranged to receive public submissions relating to environmental concerns. The system further comprises a server communicatively coupled with the sensing unit, the server being configured to receive and integrate environmental data into a unified database, process the environmental data by applying machine learning models to identify potential violations and forecast environmental risks, and generate compliance dashboards, emission reports, and alert notifications on a display device."
