Inventor(s) include Dr. Prashant Jain; Prof. Kunal Batra; Dr. Abhay Kothari; Prof. Snehlata Mishra; and Yash Mudgal.
The application for the patent was published on Feb. 27, under issue no. 09/2026.
According to the abstract released by the Intellectual Property India: "The present disclosure relates to a system (102) for gas leak detection and shutoff in a gas supply installation. The system (102) includes a first gas sensor (106) positioned at a gas outlet connection (112), a memory (206), and a hardware processor (204) operatively coupled to the memory (206) and the first gas sensor (106). The hardware processor (204) is configured to obtain a gas concentration value (214) from the first gas sensor (106) and determine an anomaly condition based on the gas concentration value (214). The hardware processor (204) is further configured to generate a wireless shutoff command (104) based on the anomaly condition. The hardware processor (204) is further configured to transmit the wireless shutoff command (104) to a shutoff valve (108) positioned at a gas supply source (212) to cause the shutoff valve (108) to close and terminate gas flow."
