MUMBAI, India, Jan. 8 -- Intellectual Property India has published a patent application (202511104638 A) filed by Lovely Professional University, Phagwara, Punjab, on Oct. 30, 2025, for 'system for evaluating the effectiveness of virtual and physical laboratories in high-school physics education.'
Inventor(s) include Dr. Rajeev Sobti; Dr. Sourabh Kumar; Dr. Shailesh Kumar Singh; and Dr. Sawinder Kaur Vermani.
The application for the patent was published on Dec. 12, under issue no. 50/2025.
According to the abstract released by the Intellectual Property India: "A system for evaluating the effectiveness of virtual and physical laboratories in high-school physics education, comprising an educational module 101 configured to create scenarios in the fields of Mechanics and Electricity for high-school students, a division unit 102 arranged to assign students into two groups for experimentation in either a virtual laboratory or a physical laboratory, an assessment module 103 arranged to evaluate student's conceptual understanding of physics after experimentation in either laboratory mode, an attitude measurement module 104 configured to measure student's attitudes towards the virtual and physical laboratory experiences."
