MUMBAI, India, Jan. 8 -- Intellectual Property India has published a patent application (202511105142 A) filed by Manav Rachna University, Faridabad, Haryana, on Oct. 31, 2025, for 'system for dispensing medicines and providing notification alerts.'

According to the abstract released by the Intellectual Property India: "The present disclosure provides a system for dispensing medicines and providing notification alerts. The system comprises a plurality of medicine chambers arranged to store different medicines, each structured to be selectively opened at a scheduled time. The system further comprises a server configured to permit entry of a dispensing schedule, to transmit scheduling data, to receive notification signals, and to maintain a virtual record of medicines dispensed and medicines remaining. A control unit is operatively coupled with the medicine chambers and configured to receive scheduling data from the server through a communication unit and to actuate opening of a selected chamber. The communication unit is structured to exchange data with the server and to transmit notification signals through at least one of short message service or telephonic call. An alerting unit provides local alerts, and an emergency triggering element overrides the schedule to contact an emergency recipient."
