MUMBAI, India, Oct. 11 -- Intellectual Property India has published a patent application (202517065642 A) filed by Keranova, Saint-Etienne, France, on July 9, for 'system for cutting ocular tissue into elementary portions.'
Inventor(s) include Baubeau, Emmanuel; and Bernard, Aurelien.
The application for the patent was published on Oct. 10, under issue no. 41/2025.
According to the abstract released by the Intellectual Property India: "The invention relates to a cutting device including a femtosecond laser source for emitting a Gaussian laser beam, a shaping system including a spatial light modulator for modulating the Gaussian laser beam, an optical scanner for moving the modulated laser beam, an optical focusing system for focusing the modulated laser beam, characterised in that the treatment device also comprises a control unit for controlling the femtosecond laser source, the shaping system, the optical scanner and the optical focusing system in order to create first and second sets of vertical cutting planes (V1, V2) that are separated from one another by a horizontal cutting plane (H2), the vertical planes (V2) of the second set being offset laterally relative to the vertical planes (V1) of the first set."
