MUMBAI, India, March 13 -- Intellectual Property India has published a patent application (202621008136 A) filed by Ve Commercial Vehicles Ltd,, Dhar, Madhya Pradesh, on Jan. 28, for 'system for controlling soot deposition and enhancing combustion efficiency in internal combustion engine of vehicle.'
Inventor(s) include Abhijit Sahare; Divyansh Pancholi; Ayush Karhe; Hemant Rathi; Akhilesh Shukla; and Sachin Agarwal.
The application for the patent was published on March 13, under issue no. 11/2026.
According to the abstract released by the Intellectual Property India: "A system (100) for controlling soot deposition and enhancing combustion efficiency in internal combustion engine of vehicle is disclosed. The system (100) comprises an exhaust gas recirculation (EGR) circuit (102) configured to recirculate a portion of exhaust gases from an exhaust manifold (104) to an intake system (110) of the engine. Further, an EGR valve (106) disposed upstream of an EGR cooler (108) and positioned closer to the exhaust manifold (104). Further, the position of the EGR valve (106) upstream of the EGR cooler (108) allow the EGR vale to be exposed to high-temperature exhaust gases to reduce moisture condensation and soot accumulation on internal surfaces of the EGR valve (106). Further, the position of the EGR valve (106) is configured to shorten an exhaust gas flow path to improve flow uniformity, reduce pressure loss, and enhance long term EGR system performance."
