MUMBAI, India, May 29 -- Intellectual Property India has published a patent application (202621041598 A) filed by Meril Life Sciences Pvt. Ltd., Vapi, Gujarat, on April 1, for 'system for concentrically aligning a die relative to an extruder tip.'

According to the abstract released by the Intellectual Property India: "A system (100) for concentrically aligning a die (208) relative to an extruder tip (206) of an extruder. The system (100) comprises a supporting frame (130), at least one sensor (140), a plurality of drive units (150), and a control unit (160). The supporting frame (130) is disposed circumferentially around a die head (200) of the extruder. The sensor (140) is positioned along a longitudinal axis of the die (208) and arranged forward of the die (208). The sensor (140) is configured to measure an annular gap (302) between an inner diameter of the die (208) and an outer diameter of the extruder tip (206). The drive units (150) are mounted circumferentially on the supporting frame (130) around the die head (200). The drive unit (150) is being operatively coupled to a corresponding adjustment bolt (202). The control unit (160) is operatively coupled to at least one sensor (140)."
