MUMBAI, India, Jan. 7 -- Intellectual Property India has published a patent application (202511104243 A) filed by Lovely Professional University, Phagwara, Punjab, on Oct. 29, 2025, for 'system for autonomous vehicle navigation.'

Inventor(s) include Sami Anand; Dr. Sachin Kumar Singh; Dr. Neeta Raj Sharma; and Preeti Khurana.

The application for the patent was published on Dec. 12, under issue no. 50/2025.

According to the abstract released by the Intellectual Property India: "A system for autonomous vehicle navigation comprises of a plurality of high-precision sensors 101 including LiDAR, radar, GPS, IMU, and ultrasonic sensors configured to collect real-time time-series data from vehicle, edge nodes 102 operable to preprocess sensor data by performing noise filtering, sensor fusion, normalization, and compression before transmission to cloud server 103, a Convolutional Neural Network (CNN) deployed on cloud server 103 with multiple convolutional and pooling layers followed by fully connected layers configured to generate predicted control vectors for steering, throttle, and brake control, and a MATLAB-based simulation framework 104 containing multiple autonomous vehicles, edge nodes 102, and centralized cloud server 103 for evaluating model performance based on trajectory smoothness, loss function trends, and Root Mean Square Error (RMSE)."
