MUMBAI, India, Jan. 9 -- Intellectual Property India has published a patent application (202541133785 A) filed by Somsolay Ramesh; and P. Malleswari, Yemmiganur, Andhra Pradesh, on Dec. 30, 2025, for 'system for automated validation of digital retail transaction and its method thereof.'

According to the abstract released by the Intellectual Property India: "The present disclosure relates to a system and method for automated validation of digital retail transactions comprising a merchant authentication and shopping module 101 to scan a merchant's GST number, a payment validation module 102 for classifying the payment mode, a receipt module 103 to generate digitally signed receipts, an accounting module 104 to retrieve transaction receipts, a bank deposit verification module 105 to match cash deposits in the bank account of the with transaction receipts and an anomaly detection engine 106 to compute risk scores based on deposit-to-sales ratios, spikes in deposit in merchant's account, and zero-receipt deposits and triggering alerts for the authorized accountant and regulators on detection of anomalies in merchant accounts, the payment validation module 102 is configured for issuance of e-stamp or block the transaction depending upon the amount of cash and if payment mode is CBDC, mark the transaction as stamp exempted digital transaction."
