MUMBAI, India, Nov. 21 -- Intellectual Property India has published a patent application (202411025700 A) filed by Uno Minda Limited, Gurgaon, Haryana, on March 28, 2024, for 'system for adjusting height of seat of vehicle.'
Inventor(s) include Satheesh Kumar Mutthiah; Umesh Majale; Ankita Upasani; Srikanth TS; Saravanan Devdass; and Rengasamy Pachaiyappan.
The application for the patent was published on Nov. 21, under issue no. 47/2025.
According to the abstract released by the Intellectual Property India: "The present disclosure relates to a system for adjusting height of a seat of a vehicle. The system (100) comprises a magnet (106) received in a first housing (110) and a sensor received in a second housing (112). The sensor is positioned opposite to the magnet (106) in the second housing (112). The sensor is configured to detect variation in magnetic flux and transmits the information to control unit through a circuit board (114). The receiving of the magnet (106) inside the first housing (110) and the sensor in the second housing (112) prevents ingress of environmental factors, for example - dust, dirt, moisture and likewise. A control unit is configured to control a pneumatic suspension unit (300) based on a position of the seat (200) within a predefined range and the requirement of an occupant sitting on the seat (200), thereby adjusting the height of the seat (200)."
