MUMBAI, India, Nov. 21 -- Intellectual Property India has published a patent application (202411025697 A) filed by Uno Minda Limited, Gurgaon, Haryana, on March 28, 2024, for 'system for adjusting height of seat of vehicle.'

According to the abstract released by the Intellectual Property India: "Disclosed is a system for adjusting height of a seat in a vehicle. The system (100) comprises a first link (102), a second link (104), an actuating member (106), a switch holder (108), an operating member, a push-pull wire (112), a damping unit (116) and a biasing member (118). The first link (102) and the second link (104) are pivotably connected to each other through a pivot joint (206a), to form a scissors linkage and thereby facilitating extension and retraction of the seat mounted thereon in the vertical direction. The actuating member (106) comprises provisions to facilitate selective actuation of switches (108a, 108b) to facilitate smooth extension and retraction of the seat. The damping unit (116) is provided to absorb oscillations transmitted to the seat when the vehicle is driven in a rough terrain. The system is configured to facilitate smooth adjustment of the seat height in the vehicle."
