MUMBAI, India, Sept. 12 -- Intellectual Property India has published a patent application (202517079370 A) filed by Vestas Wind Systems A/S, Aarhus, Denmark, on Aug. 21, for 'system and methods for using machine learning to recommend commodities to recover from recyclable materials.'
Inventor(s) include Hansen, Jesper Romer.
The application for the patent was published on Sept. 12, under issue no. 37/2025.
According to the abstract released by the Intellectual Property India: "A method for identifying and recovering target commodities from a composite wind turbine blade, in which a computing device receives quality grade data indicating quality grades of respective materials included within a turbine blade, and commodity data for a plurality of candidate commodities that are capable of being recovered from the one or more materials of the turbine blade. The computing device determines expected profitability for each of said plurality of respective candidate commodities, wherein the quality grade data for the respective materials and the commodity data for the plurality of candidate commodities are provided as inputs to a data model to cause the data model to determine the expected profitability for each of said plurality of respective candidate commodities. The computing device determines, based on the expected profitability, a recommendation indicating, for respective materials of the turbine blade, one or more target commodities to recover using the respective materials. The device delivers the recommendation to another device or recipient, so that recovery of the target commodities can occur."
The patent application was internationally filed on Jan. 31, 2024, under International application No.PCT/DK2024/050022.
