MUMBAI, India, April 20 -- Intellectual Property India has published a patent application (202617001314 A) filed by Metamorphosis Gmbh, Altenbeken, Germany, on Jan. 6, for 'system and methods for distinguishing angular sections of viewing directions.'

The application for the patent was published on April 17, under issue no. 16/2026.

According to the abstract released by the Intellectual Property India: "A system for differentiating angular section when imaging an object is provided. The system may comprise an imaging device (such as a C-arm) configured to generate projection images with a projection direction being defined for at least one point of the object. The imaging device may be movable so that the projection direction for the at least one point of the object rotates about the at least one point, wherein the system may be configured to image the object together with surrounding structure and to identify a first angular section in which at least two positions or two orientations of the object relative to the surrounding structure result in the same projection image, when imaging the object along the projection direction through the at least one point of the object."

The patent application was internationally filed on June 13, 2024, under International application No.PCT/EP2024/066480.
