MUMBAI, India, Feb. 27 -- Intellectual Property India has published a patent application (202541133480 A) filed by Dr. Mahalingam College Of Engineering And Technology, Coimbatore, Tamil Nadu, on Dec. 30, 2025, for 'system and method to send alert message /voice call at emergency situation for women safety.'

According to the abstract released by the Intellectual Property India: "In the present scenario, the women have been depicted as the weaker community during the abnormal situations, it is most dangerous and major worldwide issue faced in recent decades, addressing this issue it is necessary to develop a suitable safety machine to protect the woman from various factors by the development of new creative technical solutions. The major goal of this invention in a wearable form of technology designed particularly to emphasis the safety of women in offering a proactive protection and real-time help in potentially dangerous hazardous circumstances. The present invention provides bridging the technology with the problem addressed by creating and portable technology in wearable form with capable of sensing the location and sensing the behavior and physical changes in the women during abnormalities with the features like GPS tracking, emergency warning systems, biometric sensors, and real-time data transfer capabilities. This present invention helps to promote self-confidence, defense mechanism and enabling highest safety features and monitoring at higher level to the women."
