MUMBAI, India, April 17 -- Intellectual Property India has published a patent application (202641043676 A) filed by Vellore Institute Of Technology, Chennai, Tamil Nadu, on April 6, for 'system and method of pregnancy monitoring of a mammal.'
Inventor(s) include Prasad Jones Christydass Samuel; Karthika Senthilkumar; and Eswaran Moorthy.
The application for the patent was published on April 17, under issue no. 16/2026.
According to the abstract released by the Intellectual Property India: "Embodiments of the present disclosure relate to a system (100) and a method (1100) of pregnancy monitoring of a mammal. The system (100) includes a microwave antenna sensing element (104) that interacts with a urine sample positioned within a sample holder unit (106) to generate microwave sensing responses representing dielectric characteristics of the biological sample. A data acquisition unit (108) captures S-parameter measurements produced during sensing operations and transfers sensing data to a processor (102-2) that performs conditioning and feature preparation on sensing measurements to generate structured dielectric response parameters. A data analysis unit (112) interprets the processed sensing features to determine gestational indicators associated with bovine pregnancy. A user interface (114) presents pregnancy status and fetal age information derived from analytical evaluation performed within the system (100)."
