MUMBAI, India, Sept. 26 -- Intellectual Property India has published a patent application (202421022555 A) filed by Tata Motors Passenger Vehicles Limited, Maharashtra, on March 22, 2024, for 'system and method of assisting fitting of fuel-flap to vehicle body.'
Inventor(s) include Vilas Jagtap; Prashant Rayjade; Navalkumar Kavthekar.; and Sarang Kshirsagar.
The application for the patent was published on Sept. 26, under issue no. 39/2025.
According to the abstract released by the Intellectual Property India: "The disclosure relates to a system for assisting in fitting of a fuel-flap to a vehicle body is disclosed. The system may include a magnetic member configured to magnetically attach to the vehicle body, a linkage assembly, and a base mechanically coupled to the magnetic member via the linkage assembly. The base may include a receptacle on an inner side of the base to receive the fuel-flap. The linkage assembly mya be configured to facilitate an angular movement of the base relative to the magnetic member and a fuel-vent associated with the vehicle body. The angular movement of the base may be between a first position and a second position along a movement path."
